Many times this number is not known to us, due to which many problems have to be faced. However, if you do not have information about your phone’s IIMI number then there is nothing to worry about. We are telling you how you can find out about it.
IMEI (International Mobile Station Equipment Identity) is a unique number which is officially offered with each handset sold. If your phone is stolen, you also have to tell about the IMEI number when you file a report in the police. After this, IMEI is blacklisted on the basis of local law so that no one can misuse your phone. The IMEI number belongs to the SIM slot, so 2 phones with 2 SIM cards have 2 IMEI numbers. Via the USSD code
This is the easiest way to find out the IMEI number of your phone. Its biggest feature is that it is universal. The USSD code works on almost all feature phones and smartphones. For this, you have to dial * # 06 # on your phone. After this IMEI number will be displayed on your phone’s screen. Just make sure you keep this number somewhere by making notes.
Find the IMEI number on your phone
If you use iPhone 5 or any latest iPhone, its IMEI number will be displayed on its back panel. All you have to do is turn over your phone and note its IMEI. The IMEI is written on the SIM tray on iPhone 4s and older models.
Learn about your phone’s IMEI number from settings
To know the IMEI number on Android phones, go to Settings option. Then select About, then IMEI. Then tap on the status and scroll down the screen to get information of IMEI. Tap on the settings to locate this number on iPhone. Then choose General and after that about Scroll after it and learn about IMEI. In the phones which have a removable battery, the IMEI numbers are printed on a sticker which is stuck inside the phone. You can check out the phone’s battery to find out about it.
If the phone is lost then find the address of the IMEI number
If you have secured the box and bill of your phone, you will get this number easily. IMEI number is given on both the phone’s retail box and bill. Therefore the box and bill of the phone should always be kept safe. Not only this, if you want to sell your phone in future, this box is a lot of work. IMEI number will be found written on the sticker on the box side.
If you use an Android phone

Even if your Android phone is lost, you can still find the IMEI number. For this, log in to Google dashboard using the Google ID on your Android phone. Then click on the Android written after the Green Robot logo. After doing so, you will be able to see the list of devices registered with your Google ID. It can also see their IMEI numbers.
