But except this some really great hidden features that Microsoft hasn’t really talked about.Moreover, Windows has been known for its great customizability, thanks to various hacks & mods and Windows 10 is no different. Here are some tricks in windows 10 that you should know.
Use the inbuilt screen recorder - The Xbox has a screen recording feature to record game videos. Launch a game and press Windows + G to bring up the recording menu. Alternatively, you can press Windows + Alt + R to start/stop recording directly.
- Use Virtual desktop - In Windows 10, you can create many desktops and run applications from each individually, so that each desktop shows only the applications running in that virtual desktop and thereby reduce the clutter in the taskbar. Press Windows+ Tab for virtual desktop menu. There you can add/remove desktops as well as move Windows between them.
- Customize the Search Bar - Windows 10’s search function is amazing and will help you navigate the difficult or complex maze on the OS. Just type in the word or phrase you a looking for and a list of options will pop up. You could even take advantage of Cortana’s help if you like. This smart assistant will be handy but limit exactlyl what you would like to share.
- Xbox Streaming - For those of you with an Xbox One and windows 10 PC, rejoice. You can stream your Xbox games to PC.Just allow the game streaming feature on your console and you are done.
- Background scrolling - Have you noticed when you move the mouse over a window and try and scroll and cannot? Well it’s because the window wasn’t active but you can turn this feature on in Settings | Devices | Mouse and Touchpad. Just snoop around your OS to make the best set up for your personal uses. There are so many options and settings on Windows 10 it can fill pages of manuals. You have tons of freedom, but it is understandable how it can be quite daunting. Windows 10 is brand new so what better time to begin an OS adventure. Keep Search close by as your friend, you won’t get lost.
- DirectX 12 Support for better quality Games - Microsoft hasn’t made a big deal about Windows 10 coming with DirectX 12 support but it’s indeed a big deal. DirectX 12 brings improved gaming performance, new graphical effects, multiple GPU support, memory pooling and way more. Next generation games will soon arrive and that’s when there will be no turning back to any previous Windows version, as only Windows 10 comes with DirectX 12 support.
